I got a few requests for another pose post and I’m just now getting time to do it! Here are some poses that work well for two people. The pictures link to the machine reviews if available!
1. Back to Back
Simple and adds a bit more interest than just standing there!
2. Touch hands
This you can do as playground cute…
with attitude…
..or in a celebratory fashion…
3. Holding hands
Very cute, may be weird if you don’t know the other person that well, though!
4. Hug
Again this is for closer friends or it might just be awkward! A good one for couples also!
5. Kiss
One of you poses to give the kiss one to receive, the receiver can be happy or shocked- both look really cute!
6. Heart
Making a heart together is sweet and automatically gives you decorating ideas!
7. Noses
This was one machine’s slightly weird guide pose but it actually turned out cute, and it’s a rare profile chance!
8. Punch
This is an ok pose but I’m not sure I like it. Still if you want something different…
9. Secret
This is a good one and works really well as a two person shot. One person whispers and one person reacts. I could only find one example, which is weird because I like it a lot!
10. Criss-Cross
Making crosses is a good shot for two people, just make sure it’s balanced or it’ll look awkward and lop-sided.
11. Angry
Another action-reaction pose. You don’t have to have the squares, one person could crouch a little to get the same effect.
12. Height
Checking your height. You can even write your actual heights if you like!
13. Crouch
This was an idea to mess around with levels in the full-length shots. It kind of works but I think I need practice posing like that!
14. Dolls
We were pretending to be mannequins in the department store, and decided to see how it would work in purikura, I think it works quite well! Next time I might try drawing a Barbie-box style frame around us!
15. Piggyback
This isn’t as hard as it looks as I still had my far leg on the ground!
Well, there you go! I hope this has given you some ideas for poses to try when or if you get to purikura. I’ve had a couple of ideas myself while making this post! I want to try an ABBAesque pose…
and maybe the E.T. point…
Great post! Thank you so much for this~ >u< Now I really want to go and take purikura with friends~ *A*
ReplyDeleteIf you have some near you go for it! If not... apps??
DeleteI've seen people do the E.T. thing! i think...
ReplyDeletethis post is making me nostalgic from when I used to take lots of purikura with youuuuuuuu!!!!! XD
I know!! I don't take nearly as much as I used to!!
DeleteMy purikuras with you guys are my favorites!! Great post ^^
ReplyDeleteI'd like to use them in a three-people post someday if its ok with you!?
DeleteThank you for your great posts and it's a nice idea to write a blog about purikura. ( ^ω^ )
ReplyDeleteBut the last times when I was in Japan I noticed that the purikura machines changed. The "old" pink-glitter-kitsch machines are all gone and now it's all like "pure" purikura with huge eyes. (~_~;)
What do you think about or do you know places in Tokyo where to find the old purikura machines? Thank you. ( ^ω^ )

Yeah it would be nice to have more of a mix but that's the way they are all going! Your best beg would be to avoid the big chain game centres and look for small independent ones that can't afford to update so often, karaoke lobbies sometimes have older machines there too, good luck!
DeleteThank you, that's a good idea! ( ^_^)/~~~
DeleteCute poses! I must try some of those. ^__^
ReplyDeleteDo! :)
