I’ve posted on posing a couple of times before but this post is specifically about three member poses, I met up with two girls from dance class and we were discussing what poses to do over lunch so I thought it’d make a good post!
Of course you could just do the same poses as you would do with two people but where’s the fun in that?! Even slight adjustments can make a three member purikura look great.
First of, just think about the balance. If three of you just stand there it’s a little boring. The person in the centre could stand back…
or forward…
just to make it a little more interesting.
Or if you want to keep to the simple poses have the two outside members use the opposite hands…
or pose with the opposite legs…
When you have three people you can arrange yourselves a bit more than two people can. Think of shapes or lines. You can be a triangle…
or a diagonal line…
You can line up by height in the full length shots too!
Charlie’s Angels. Pose as if you have guns, usually the outside girls face out and the middle girl can point forward or to either side.
You can make a heart with one person in the middle…
Or make hearts between the three of you…
Or just drawing a heart looks cute with three people!
(They are doing the balanced arm pose too!)
There’s also the ‘dango’ pose.
This might be a touch too far though!
We tried to do the Three Wise Monkeys, (which I just found out is a Japanese thing originally) but we got a bit mixed up on the order!
Another fail was this pose where you link arms and lean from the middle person, I think this is a Japanese thing? I’m not sure, but anyway, it didn’t quite work!
There are a few other things that look good with three people but can be for any number…
Hands on shoulders…
Hugs!
The only machine I know of that has specific backgrounds for three people is Otome3, very cute if you get the chance!
ah! i was gonna say that that "staircase" one that we did with Bonnie had the 3ppl setup too, but i guess it was Otome3... ooooold! lol. still i wish they would make new machines like that! they were fun!
